UNICOM® Systems Inc. announces the release of Focal Point™ version 7.3.1. Focal Point™ is a comprehensive portfolio planning solution that market-driven teams can use to make collaborative, objective decisions to deliver products, projects and services offering the highest customer and business value. Focal Point™ reduces the complexity of managing information from various sources such as emails, documents and spreadsheets providing a centralized environment for requirements, products and project data.

Focal Point™ version 7.3.1 introduces a new capabilities in the areas of visualization, user management, notification management and product administration. The traditional table view has been replaced with a new table view that provides sticky headers, improved look and feel as well as improved usability in advanced search. New custom chart templates are provided to enable customers to visualize historical trends of milestone dates and project status over a specified time line. Roadmap charts now have the ability to inline date icons and also display Gantt bars based on the color of project status.

New enhancements to export and import choice attribute setups, copy access levels of attributes in views and drag and drop functionality in administrative pages greatly improve the usability of administrative functions. Focal Point™ version 7.3.1 also introduces the new workspace membership attribute to list individual user’s access to different workspaces. This new attribute improves user management by providing support for history logging, setting up expressions, filtering, grouping and searching on membership information. 

Notification capabilities have been enhanced with the ability to trigger notifications manually. This eases the testing of new notifications and also provides the ability to create passive notifications triggered by an Administrator. A new capability has also been added to schedule the Excel export of view information and send it to a list of users as a content based notification.
