PIE®/TSO Logon Director

Adapter for PIE/CICS Users to Log on to CICS and TSO.

PIE/TSO, Productivity Integrated Environment for z/OS / TSO is an integrated family of common and optional components. PIE/TSO gives you access to up to twelve TSO applications at once, and twenty four using ISPF split screen.

Eliminate the need for the user to Sign On to each application and/or transaction. PIE/TSO seamlessly authenticates users to external security systems (RACF, CA-ACF2, CA-Top Secret) and to internal application security.

OVERVIEW

PIE/TSO-Logon Director allows PIE®/CICS to log users on to TSO without requiring to enter their user IDs and passwords. PIE/TSO-Logon Director can also save TSO passwords in encrypted form, so that PIE/CICS can use them.

PIE/TSO-Logon Director provides the following features:

  • A single user sign on. Since PIE/CICS has already validated the user's password, PIE/TSO-Logon Director can log this user on to TSO without the password prompt.

  • Automatic Reconnect. PIE/TSO-Logon Director determines if a logon reconnect is required and handles it invisibly to the user.

  • Forced Reconnect. If the user is a PIE/TSO user who used PIE/TSO-Logon Director for his original logon, Logon Director can disconnect the user from his original terminal and reconnect to this terminal.
