Mr. Corry S. Hong is the founder, President and CEO of UNICOM Global. Mr. Hong is responsible for establishing strategy and directing the day-to-day activities of all divisions of UNICOM Global. Mr. Hong founded UNICOM Systems, Inc. in 1981 to specifically develop AUTOMON®/CICS and related products for the CICS mainframe marketplace.
The Company's first product was introduced in 1985 as an automated action product for CICS MVS environments. In 1988 AUTOMON/CICS was selected to participate in the Seoul Olympics to assure the Olympic systems' availability and productivity. In early 1994, AUTOMON/CICS was nominated for the prestigious ICP Million Dollar Award which recognizes outstanding sales performance for software products.
In addition to AUTOMON®/CICS for MVS, Mr. Hong is the original architect of numerous software products including UNIMON®/CICS, SUPERMON®/CICS, UMF®/CICS, AUTOMON®/CICS for VSE, AUTOMON®/Batch, Central®/CICS, SLAMDUMP®/CICS, AUTOMON®/LogAnalyzer, UNICOM®/Central/VTAM, UNICOM®/CENTRAL/TSO, Universal Command Control facility®, UNICOM®/CICS, UNIGATEWAY®, UNIGW®/NT, Universal Monitoring Facility®, UCCF®/Server, UNIMON®/MVS, etc.
Prior to founding UNICOM, Mr. Hong was a composer who wrote and recorded numerous musical scores. Mr. Hong attended Pierce College where he majored in Computer Science. Mr. Hong lives in Beverly Hills, California with his wife, 3 children and 5 puppies. He occasionally enjoys fine wine, playing music, and fishing.
